QRápido: Gerador e Leitor de QR
Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Duo Dev ("we") handles the data of users of the QRápido: QR Generator and Scanner app (the "App"), in compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 — LGPD). In short: the App has no sign-up or login, does not send what you create or read to any server of ours and keeps everything on your device. The only processing done by third parties is ads (Google AdMob, in the free version) and purchases (Google Play).
1. Who is the data controller
Duo Dev (CNPJ 62.516.576/0001-63) is the controller of the data processed by the App. On Google Play, Duo Dev appears as a developer under the name Duo Developer. For any privacy matter, write to qrapido@duo.dev.br.
2. What data we process and where it stays
- Data that stays only on your device (we do not receive it):
- History: the QRs you create and those you read, with the content, the date, whether it is "Created" or "Scanned" and whether it is a favorite. The content may include information you typed or read yourself, such as a Pix key, the recipient's name and city, amount, Wi-Fi network name and password, phone numbers, emails, website addresses, texts and contact details.
- Filled-in fields: the App remembers the name, city and key type of the last Pix so you do not have to type them again.
- Customization (Premium): colors, dot shape, saved templates and the logo image you choose from the gallery (reduced and kept in the app's private folder).
- Preferences: theme, your choices about ads, internal counters (for example, how many QRs were saved, to control ad frequency) and the information that Premium is active.
- Camera: used only to read QR Codes. Images are analyzed on the device itself, are not recorded and are not sent.
- Gallery photos: the App only reads the photo you choose, through the system picker, to look for a QR. It is not sent; a temporary copy may remain in the app's cache area, which the system clears.
- Saving to the gallery: when you tap "Save to gallery", the QR image is written to the "QRápido" album on your device.
- Wi-Fi: when you tap "Connect to Wi-Fi", the App asks Android to add the network; the system asks for your confirmation. If that is not possible, it copies the password and opens the Wi-Fi settings.
- Contacts: the App does not read your contacts. When you tap "Save contact", it opens the system contact editor already filled in, and you decide whether to save.
- Data processed by third parties:
- Google AdMob (free version only): displays ads and may process advertising identifier, IP address, device data (model, system, language), ad interaction data and diagnostics. See item 5.
- Google Play (purchases): processes payment and subscription. We do not see card or payment data; we receive from Google Play only the confirmation that you are entitled to Premium.
We do not collect your location, we do not use usage statistics or crash reports on our side and we have no user account. The App requires the camera, internet and network/Wi-Fi state permissions to work, in addition to the Google Play permission for purchases and the advertising identifier (AD_ID) used by AdMob. On Android 9 or earlier, the system requires storage permission only to save the image to the gallery.
3. What we use the data for
- Create, read, store and display QRs, history and favorites.
- Perform the actions you choose: open a link, copy, share, connect to a Wi-Fi network, call, write an email, open a WhatsApp chat or save a contact.
- Show ads in the free version and unlock Premium features for those who purchased.
- Ensure the operation and security of the App.
We do not sell your data and we do not use the content of your QRs for advertising.
4. Legal basis
We process data to perform the App usage contract and its purchases (art. 7, V, of the LGPD) and for our legitimate interest in keeping the service running (art. 7, IX). The use of the advertising identifier for personalized ads depends on your consent (art. 7, I), which you choose on the consent screen and can change at any time (item 5). The QR, the history and the other information on your device do not leave it, so they are not processed by us.
5. Ads and your consent
In the free version, the App shows a banner on the home screen and in the history and, from time to time, a full-screen ad after you save a QR. There is never an ad in the camera, at payment, in the form or on the settings screens.
- Consent: on first launch (after onboarding), you see a privacy screen. In regions where Google requires it, we use Google's consent form (UMP). Where Google does not display a message, we show our own screen, with "Accept" and "Manage options" given equal prominence, and we store your choice on the device.
- If you decline personalization: ads continue, but not personalized. The App works the same in both cases.
- Changing your mind: in Settings › Ad and privacy preferences.
- No internet: the App works normally and no ad is loaded before consent.
- Premium: those who subscribe to or buy Premium do not see ads and are not asked to consent; the ads SDK is not started.
- To learn how Google uses data in ads and manage your preferences: policies.google.com/technologies/ads and adssettings.google.com.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases (weekly, monthly, annual and lifetime Premium) are made through Google Play, which handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds. The App stores on the device only the information that Premium is active and the plan type, and checks again with Google Play whenever it is opened with internet. We have no server of our own to validate purchases.
7. Who we share data with
- Google (AdMob and Google Play): under the conditions described in items 5 and 6.
- Authorities, when required by law or court order. (Since the data stays on your device, we normally have nothing to provide.)
- People you choose: when you share a QR, an image, a PDF, an SVG file or a ZIP file, or use an action such as opening a link, the content goes to the app or person you chose. Those destinations have their own policies.
We do not share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
8. International transfer
Google may process data outside Brazil (ads and purchases). In those cases, the safeguards provided for in the LGPD and Google's policies apply.
9. Security and retention
Data stays in the App's private storage on your device, which other apps cannot access without permission. Note: the history may contain sensitive information (such as Wi-Fi passwords or Pix keys); protect your device with a screen lock. We keep the data on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. We do not keep a copy on a server of ours.
How to delete:
- One item: swipe left in the History (or tap "Undo" if it was by mistake), or press and hold to select several.
- Everything: Settings › Clear history (this also deletes favorites).
- Customization templates: delete them one by one in the editor's "Templates" tab.
- Uninstalling the App removes all local data.
- Ad and purchase data stays with Google; manage it at myaccount.google.com and play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
10. Your rights
Since we have no account or copy of your data, you exercise most rights directly in the App (access, correct, export, share and delete). Under the LGPD, you may, at any time and upon request: confirm that processing exists; access your data; correct incomplete or outdated data; request anonymization, blocking or deletion; request portability; know who we share your data with; withdraw consent; and review decisions made solely by automated means (the App does not make this type of decision). To exercise these rights, write to qrapido@duo.dev.br. You may also file a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
11. Children and teenagers
The App is intended for people aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. Minors should use it only with the authorization and supervision of their parents or legal guardians.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. When a change is relevant (for example, new types of data or new third-party services), we will notify you through the App or on this page. The date of the last update is at the top.
